I have now reached a certain level for this site where it's starting to feel like a proper place that represents me and many of my hobbies.
So the idea of the site is to have all my small and not so small projects in one place so I have a simple site for point people towards. The Heads I win, Tails You Lose deck is the upper edge of what I’ll keep on this site.
As I have mentioned earlier this site is built with CSS and HTML and I neither of them have been pushed to any sort of extreme so far. There are several reasons why I chose to do it this way, some good, some egotistical, several contradictory.
- I want to keep it simple to maintain and understand when I come back after a long break.
- To make the site “future proof,” if there is no scripts the scripts can’t break.
- The simpler aesthetics pleases me.
- To make it easy to move to a different host if I should need to.
- This is not a “learn to make websites” project.
- I’m mostly doing this for me
- My inner hipster demands it.
So what do I actually want this site to become? What is my intentions for this place?
Well, honestly more of what’s already here. Larger projects will get their own websites, and then I’ll link out to those once I’m ready.
I’m also aware that doing it this way is going to become cumbersome as the site grow and that creating blogg posts in a non dedicated environment is not the best way to do things if you want a great blogg. I also have a sneaking feeling that the blogg format is semi dead. And I kind of don’t care, and I’m actively fighting the part of me that do care, because I’m not doing this to be famous. I’m doing it for me.
