I have been playing rpg's (mostly DnD) since 2004 and over that time I have created a lot of stuff.
Some of these I still use, others did not prove so usefull to me, but perhaps they will be usefull for you,
I'll continusly add new things as I make or rediscover them.

A few years ago I stumbled upon the Bearded Devil and his city of Hex, a sprawling metropolis of strange whimsical ideas. This combined with Mathew Colville's Chain of Acheron stream inspiried me to make a city for my own megacity.

I love the old dnd 3.5 world building rules, there is are many many things that are "wrong" about them, but I love the consistency they bring to the world if you use them. Only, just making a simplie town takes forever, so I figured, why not automate it and learn basic programing at the same time. The scripts are written in python and eventually I should get it to spit out a fully poppulated settlement with "complete" NPC's. I'm getting closer, but no work has been done for a while, so here is my progress so far. Feel free to keep working on it if you wish. |

DM spreadsheet Open Office (last updated 30.6.25) |
When you run games certain info is quite usefull. Like a large list of random NPC's or a list over common in world prices. So I started gathering stuff in a spreadsheet. The O365 sheet is somethat formated. The Open office one is the sheet I'll continue to work in going forward. |
